Food Systems
Food System is everything that is related with the food we eat, from its production and transport, to its distribution, sale and consumption. To ensure a fairer and more sustainable future for people and the planet, we must migrate to healthy food systems, fighting obesity and malnutrition, as well as climate change. This is a mission for Brazil, for Latin America and for the world.
On this page, you will find research and articles that support an Agenda for a healthy and sustainable Food System in Latin America, such as political and economic analysis of the main interventions aimed at promoting healthy and sustainable food systems, literature review, analysis of perspectives and national challenges, position and advocacy papers.
To promote this agenda, Idec works in partnership with the Universidad Alfonso Ibañez (Chile) and the Centro de Estudios de Estado y Sociedad (Argentina), organisations from academia and civil society in Latin America region.
